Farmhouse
Our beautiful Farmhouse is set within the courtyard but has its own private garden.
The House boasts 7 large bedrooms all with en-suite shower rooms and an additional bathroom, with bath, on the landing. Two of the bedrooms are on ground level, one of which has facilities for guests with limited mobility and the other is a family room with both a king-size and single bed.
The kitchen is well equipped with a range oven, fridge-freezer, microwave and dishwasher. The cosy sitting room is perfect for snuggling up and watching a movie or playing a board game on a rainy afternoon.
The large Garden room has a dining table to seat up to 20 people, comfy chairs around a large wood burner and bi-fold doors leading onto the terrace. The garden is secure and peaceful with stunning views across the Blackmore Vale.

The Farmhouse sleeps up to 14 people. You can add extra Courtyard rooms if you have a bigger group – up to a maximum of 20 people for the self-catering package

Places to eat nearby
There are a lot of good restaurants and pubs nearby; The Kings Arms and The Udder Farm Shop close by in East Stour or in Shaftesbury there are Indian, Italian and Chinese restaurants as well as pubs.
Steve & Rachel who are part of our team on site, also have their own company ‘Simply Cooking’. Details Simply cooking | Facebook or Simply cooking website If you talk to them they may be able to provide one or more home cooked, ready to eat meals for your stay.
Local Amenities
Lox Lane Farm is situated 5 miles from Shaftesbury, where you will find a Tesco store, petrol station and other smaller shops.
Gillingham is 3 miles away and has Waitrose, Asda, Lidl, a train station and a public swimming pool.

There are many attractions and things to do in the surrounding area, below are some of our favourites.
Duncliffe Woods
There are various footpaths from the farm but we would especially recommend Duncliffe Woods, a beautiful wooded hill owned and maintained by the Woodland Trust. It is particularly beautiful in spring, but great fun all year round.
Shaftesbury ~ Ancient Hill Top Town
Shaftesbury is an ancient hill top town with its medieval abbey ruins and famous cobbled ‘Hovis Hill’. Enjoy the views and a drink in one of the many cafes.
Historic Properties and Gardens
There are within easy reach of Lox Lane Farm a number of historic properties and gardens, The National Trust’s Stourhead House & Gardens and Kingston Lacy; Wardour Castle, owned by English Heritage and Longleat House and Safari Park. Slightly further afield you can enjoy the attractions of Salisbury, Bath or Stonehenge.
