Lox Lane Christian Encounter Centre
Lox Lane Christian Encounter Centre is the missional arm of Father’s House, Shaftesbury. It is designed to be a resource centre for the body of Christ; a place of equipping and training. It is a place of connection and refuge for people to come and find healing and restoration.
We run our own events during the year as well as providing a venue for other church groups, large and small, to host their own conferences and retreats.
The history of Lox Lane
Lox Lane farm was acquired by Father’s House in 1990 with the intent to become a place where those who needed ‘space to breathe’ could come and find refuge.
This was very successful yet there was a sense that a change was needed, it was still to see people find rest and healing, but in a different way. Rather than have people living there all the time, it was decided to make it a ‘Christian Encounter Centre’, a place where people could come for a weekend, or a few days and meet with God in a special way.

Where is Lox Lane?
Lox Lane Christian Encounter Centre is set amid beautiful surroundings in the heart of the North Dorset Countryside, an area of outstanding natural beauty. It is an ideal place to take time out from the pressures of life and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by the glory of God’s creation.
It is situated close to both Gillingham and Shaftesbury with easy rail and train access, 10 minutes from the A303 and 10 minutes from Gillingham (Dorset) train station.

Father’s House Encounter Weekend
Weekend ‘B’: 29th - 31st October 2021
Subjects Include: The perfect Father, shame to honour, the orphan heart and sonship
These weekends have been developed by Father’s House, Shaftesbury to minister healing and freedom to hearts and provide an atmosphere where people can encounter God’s love and be filled with the Holy Spirit. As well as worship and teaching, all those attending have the opportunity of individual time with a prayer facilitator.
The venue is Lox Lane Christian Conference Centre, the missional arm of Father’s House. Lox Lane has a long history of providing a place of connection and refuge for people to come and find healing and restoration. Weekends begin with dinner on Friday evening at 7pm and end with lunch on Sunday. All rooms are en-suite, with linen and towels provided. Cost for a weekend: £150
